The British Art Network (BAN) promotes curatorial research, practice and theory in the field of British art. Our members include curators, academics, artist-researchers, conservators, producers and programmers at all stages of their professional lives.
THE CENTRE FOR ENERGY ETHICS
The Centre for Energy Ethics tackles one of the most urgent and profound challenges facing humanity today: how to balance our energy demands with our concerns for anthropogenic climate change.
Bringing together diverse areas of expertise, including researchers, industry, and communities, we embrace our responsibility as scholars to address and collectively answer big societal questions about how to create a better energy future for us all.
SCOTLAND’S FUTURE SERIES
Throughout its long history, the University of St Andrews has been at the heart of events that have shaped Scotland. The coming years will be crucial to the discussion and debate about Scotland’s Future.
This organisation demonstrates the University’s commitment to playing an active role in helping to shape informed, respectful and productive discussion and debate and developing Scotland’s future by enabling staff and students to contribute to and facilitate wider discussions. It showcases the work of staff and students to support projects to enhance discussion and debate on issues pertinent to Scotland’s future.
CENTRE FOR CONTEMPORARY ART
The St Andrews Centre for Contemporary Art is based in the School of Art History at the University of St Andrews, and draws together researchers from Schools including International Relations, Modern Languages, English, Film Studies, Social Anthropology, Management, and University Museums. The Centre’s main aim is to provide a space for staff, undergraduates, post-graduates and post-doctoral researchers to come together and share their interests and expertise in contemporary art, and to devise new programmes and projects in this constantly-evolving field of study.
ST LEONARD’S POSTGRADUATE COLLEGE
St Leonard’s Postgraduate College is at the heart of the postgraduate community of St Andrews. All postgraduates - Masters students and doctoral students - are members of the College, which was originally founded in 1512 as a college for poor clerks of the Church of St Andrews.
STACEES
STACEES is the St Andrews Network for Climate, Energy, Environment and Sustainability. We are a vibrant and diverse community of researchers based at the University of St Andrews, where we launched in April 2021.
Our world-leading research spans a broad range of disciplines and topics, from energy ethics, climate justice and sustainable development to marine ecosystems, green energy and carbon-reducing technologies.
Our network brings together over 130 researchers and students via regular events and through initiatives to boost research visibility and impact.
